An Introduction to Blizzard Internet Promotion
Your website promotion efforts will begin very late in the design process and will remain fairly invisible to you until the website design is approved. This document simply provides an inkling into the process ahead and serves to give you a head's up of the work to come.
The promotion department is in charge of placing you as high up into the search engines as you can afford to place. In this arena money certainly equates to a higher placement in the search engines but that doesn't mean that a big budget will assure you the top ranking in the engines. A well-trained promotion account manager has the know how to take the budget available and put it in the best places to show top results. We need your help to make the tough decisions as to what you really can budget and what your realistic goals are. From there your account manager will work with you to drive traffic into your site.
Our Promotion Department Manager, Russ, will assign an account manager to your property based on various criteria including the property type, promotion level, and the location of the property. The account manager will then embark on the first step of the promotion phase which is background work performed to evaluate your current traffic and identify areas for improvement. The account manager will also work with your designer to write your page titles and meta tags.
Once this work is complete your promotion account manager will contact you via email and phone for introductions and evaluation of the data they uncovered.
