Policies & Payments

  • Reservations: We prefer a minimum stay of at least two nights. A 50% deposit, or minimum of one night's deposit - whichever is greater - is required to guarantee your reservation. Deposits can be made in two ways:

By credit/debit card through PayPal:

PayPay is a secure on-line payment system used around the world. By clicking on the PayPal button below, it will bring you directly to a payment screen for Casa del Sol. You do not have to be a PayPal member in order to make your reservation deposit. Enter the payment amount in U.S. dollars and PayPal automatically deposits that amount into the Casa del Sol account and translates the amount into your local currency to be charged to the credit or debit card that you enter.


By mailing a personal check (in U.S. dollars) to our U.S. address below - money orders or cashier's checks not accepted:

  • Payment Method: The balance must be paid in Mexican Pesos or U.S. Dollars upon your arrival.  We do not accept personal checks or credit cards except for the initial deposit.  There are several ATMs around the village where Pesos can easily be obtained (keep in mind your daily withdrawal limit). Other incidental expenses on your account that you may incur during your stay must be settled at the time of your departure with Mexican Pesos or U.S. Dollars.

  • Cancellations: At Casa del Sol we rent our rooms by advance reservations only. When you reserve a room or rooms, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room(s) you reserved, guaranteeing to hold them for the dates you requested. We want our policy to be fair for our guests, yet prevent loss of income to our Inn by cancellations. We cannot be responsible for travel delays, health issues, inclement weather or early departures. Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations affect us greatly, so when situations arise that necessitate a cancellation, we sympathize, however, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy:

    Cancellations must be made 21 days prior to the scheduled arrival date or your deposit may not be refunded. If we are able to re-rent your room for the originally scheduled dates, your deposit will be returned, less a $20 USD processing fee. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved, regardless of actual arrival or departure date. There will be no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

  • Check-In and Check-Out: Please do not plan on checking-in earlier than 3:00 pm. If your travel plans require you to arrive after 6:00 pm , please let us know so we can make arrangements for someone to check you in. Check-Out Time: 11:00 am

  • General Information:

                  Smoking allowed only on the roof top patio
                  No pets
  • Full delicious breakfast with menu choices served from 8:30 to 9:45 am every day
